ABOUT ME

Hey there! I'm Maddie Van Horn, a spirited and creative multimedia journalist with a passion for social justice and storytelling. I am currently earning my master's degree in Journalism and Media at UNC-Chapel Hill's Hussman School and working as the Graduate Content Producer for UNC Global Affairs. While I have years of writing experience, I have also begun expanding my visual storytelling capabilities as well. From feature videos and interactive graphics to podcasts and profiles, I enjoy connecting with audiences in many different ways. My experience as Editor in Chief of the student newspaper at my undergraduate university also revealed my passion for leadership in this field. When I am not behind my computer, I enjoy spending time traveling, exploring new restaurants, hanging with my dog and making memories with my loved ones.
