Carly Erickson is a mother, maker, and owner of Boro Beverage Co., which sells homemade kombucha and non-alcoholic beverages. Her passion for sustainability and community shine as she works to eliminate waste in her shop and create a welcoming space for all.

Eric Dudash is a veteran who served in the special operations command for over 30 years and suffers from PTSD. However, he has discovered an unconventional form of medicine: his service dog. “Phantom is now my medicine,” Eric says.

While working as Editor in Chief at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, I had the honor of interviewing our Chancellor a few times throughout the year. I wrote three installments of "Chatting With The Chancellor," with each addressing upcoming milestones, reflections from the past few moths and insight from UTC's leadership.

The End of My Editor Era ... For Now

In my final opinion piece of my undergraduate career, I took the time to reflect on the woman I have grown into and how I wish that I would have seen my potential all along. While this is different from my normal work, this is a piece I am proud of.

The world of ballet is more than just sugar plum fairies and pirouettes. With years of training and a deep passion for artistry, professional dancers like Pierceton Mazell revolve their lives around dance.“A lot of people haven’t been exposed to this type of lifestyle,” Mazell said. “Dancers are professional athletes without the benefits of professional athletes. You know, it’s a passion project and it’s a lifestyle job.”
